Questions of Life!

As you can see, life is filled with some hard questions for which there seems to be no answers. However, there is one big question that people face everyday that on the surface seems difficult to answer, but in reality the answer can be ascertained. The question on many people’s mind today is often asked in various ways: Why am I here? What is the meaning of my life? What is my purpose for living?
These are all important questions for our lives. We need to know what we are doing on planet earth. While there are many different philosophies floating around out there in our world as to why you are here, none of these philosophies actually give you any answers. If you want answers you should look in God’s Word. After all, if you want to know why you were created, you should read the words of your Creator. Read here what God’s Word says about the purpose of your life from Proverbs 16:4, “The Lord has made everything for His own purpose.” Colossians 1:16 says this: “All things were created by Him and for Him!”
Your purpose for life will not be found in anyone or anything in this world. You will not find your purpose for life in your job or working more and more hours. It will not be found in attaining more things or possessions. Your purpose for life will not be found in having many friends, a wonderful family, or achieving some position. All of these things and people who offer purpose to your life are temporary, ever-changing, and untrustworthy to bring your life purpose. God’s Word makes it clear that life’s purpose is found in a relationship with God (see Colossians 1:16 again).
Here is the best part: God desires to have a personal relationship with you. He is not out to get you; He is not mad at you; He is not the source of bad things in your life. God loves you. You are His special creation who was created by Him to serve Him, worship Him, and find life’s purpose in Him. There is only one way to have this relationship with God and it is found in Jesus. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) except through me.” Contrary to the teachings of this world, there are not many ways to God. There is only one way and that one way is through Jesus. You can know your life’s purpose, but not until you get to know the One who created your life!
